“How can you say these things about the prophets? They are human beings, just like you and I!”
Well, actually according to the Word, they are not!
The true prophet, Isaiah said:
The elder and honorable, he is the head;
The prophet who teaches lies, he is the tail.
For the leaders of this people cause them to err,
And those who are led by them are destroyed.
We’re seeing here that the Father actually has placed prophets who teach lies at the bottom of the barrel.
If the Word of YHWH through Isaiah is true, and you know that it is, the Father equated false prophets with the backside of a person (or animal).
At the risk of ruining your lunch, what is the backside known for?
It’s the place where we get rid of waste.
(I know, I know … look, these are details I’d rather not go into, but it’s part of the word picture.)
So, if the “prophets who teach lies” are the backside, take a guess as to what their prophetic words are compared to.
OK, I’ll leave that right there.
The opposite location of the tail, the head (the place where the brains and true words are located) is where the “elder and honorable” should be placed.
When His People are NOT His People
Now, you have to understand, this passage in Isaiah was directed towards people who called themselves “the people of God.”
Their identity was “the children of Israel.”
They had the promise of becoming “a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.”
They were supposed to serve the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
But because of their infidelity, YHWH’s value system was completely turned on its head. False prophets were highly exalted and the elderly and righteous were held in contempt.
It is the exact same scenario today.
Because our own willful ignorance, pride and disdain for the commandments of the Most High, the people who are identified as “a kingdom of priests and a holy nation” has turned YHWH’s value system upside down.
False prophets like Todd White, Kim Clement, Steve Shultz and Bill Johnson are exalted to places of honor, while those who have wisdom and that which is honorable (namely, the Word of YHWH) is rationalized away and outright ignored.
The God whom we claim to serve has become a creation of our own vain imaginations and this is largely due to the influence of these false prophets and teachers who are causing the people “to err.”
When Value Systems Do Not Align
You know, many of us would consider a child molester, rapist or drug dealer to be the dregs of humanity. They would be absolute filth in our judgment.
Sure, the Father would forgive and redeem each one, if they repented and turned to Him. But as long as they remained firm and steadfast in those kinds of sin, very few of us would tolerate their presence and we would certainly ignore their words.
Why do we not have the same opinion of these false prophets? The Father likens them to the backside of an animal and their words … um, refuse.
Why do we bother to set them (at least) above murderers, rapists and pedophiles?
Because we’ve been scared to speak out. We’ve been told “Touch Not God’s Anointed!”
We’ve been browbeaten into submission with a false “Judge Not” ideology.
But when the Father sees them, He sees something’s backside because they are guilty of possibly THE most heinous crime of all – speaking their own words and saying that it’s Yah speaking.
Why does our value system not match up with the Father’s value system? Why do we not truly hate the things He hates?
These six things the LORD hates,
A proud look, a lying tongue,
A heart that devises wicked plans,
A false witness who speaks lies,
Think about it.
For the Truth,
