The “Jezebel spirit” cannot be found anywhere in the Bible. It is a charismatic concoction designed to sell books, suppress women and further an agenda. The mindset of Jezebel, however, is alive and well in the church culture, affecting men AND women alike. Unfortunately, due to rampant misinformation and scriptural ignorance, people remain continually unaware of the workings of Jezebel in their midst. This post will shed some light on the situation.
Todd is one of the major players behind the up ‘n coming Awaken the Dawn conference and has been featured at the Azusa Now “revivals”, TBN, CBN, Charisma Magazine and (surprise, surprise) the Elijah List. But is he legit, or just another servant of the papacy?
Between the years 2001-2008, I was the webmaster for the Elijah List, one of the largest distributors of false prophecy for the prophetic movement. I witnessed first hand the deception that goes on behind the scenes in what was (arguably) the most popular prophetic email ministry of the time.
Ever since I wrote my "Working for the Elijah List" testimony, people have asked me "Where are the Real Prophets?" Quite honestly, up until the last couple years, I didn’t have a clue! I just knew who they were NOT! Well, I’m happy to say that I’ve found them… they are alive and well and they are NOT on TBN!
Because false prophets like Bill Johnson, Graham Cooke, Rick Joyner and Kris Vallotton seem to be spiritual and have a knowledge of the Word of God, seekers of truth have a very hard time seeing them as wolves. I frequently receive emails from people asking me what I think about these guys and others like them. This series is my answer to those questions.
Almost immediately after the news of Kim Clement’s death hit Charisma magazine and Facebook, I started getting email from people, wanting to know my take on the situation.
Have you ever sat and listened silently to a prophet or prophetess expound upon what seemed to be the latest of an endless series of dreams or visions? Were you tempted to question the veracity of their encounter(s), only to be silenced by echoes of “touch not God’s anointed” coursing through your mind? Believe me, I have. Let me tell you what God’s Word has to say about false prophets and their dreams and visions.
Due to centuries of man-made doctrine and church’s propensity for hyper-spiritualization, the definition of a “circumcised heart” has lost much of it’s meaning. Because of this error, our perception is so skewed that there are those who believe they are walking with a circumcised heart when they are actually living according to their own rules and standards.
Even the most “die-hard” christian will believe this fallacy. There are many who read their Bibles every day, go to church on Sunday, never cuss, never drink, stay away from rated “R” movies, fast, pray and pursue Jesus in every way they know how, but according to the Word, their hearts are still not circumcised.
If these people aren’t living holy (“set apart”) lives for YHWH, what hope do the rest of us have?
The late Kim Clement, who had had guest appearances on TBN and possessed a HUGE online (and offline) following, was the Elijah List’s “star performer” (with Todd Bentley being a close “runner-up”), so it is still in their best interest to promote him every chance they get. Count on it… wrong or right, if Kim came out with a “word from God,” the Elijah List will promote it. It’s just a given.
Kim Clement just declared his allegiance to the papacy. I can’t say that this is very surprising as Christian religious leaders and figureheads are falling on their knees like dominoes to kiss the proverbial ring of the pope and fall in line with the prophesied one world religion.
