If we dig into the Word (both Old and New Testaments), we find that our obedience to the commandments of God are THE SIGN of our love for Him.
How many of you have a real solid grasp on the grace of God? I certainly don’t, and to be truthful, I don’t think any of us really do. Over the past decade, a few charismatics and even more prophetic people have attempted to explain His grace to me, only to leave me more firm in my conviction that they really didn’t know what they were talking about. Their spiritual sounding phrases and out-of-context use of scripture couldn’t prevent them from spiraling down the the drain of ego and self-deception.
Most Christians believe that you are saved when you ask Jesus into your heart. Little do they know that their salvation equation is based upon a myth.
One does not need to wear a special lens to see that most of the Western world (including the church) are a covetous people. We live for the next purchase. Such a life motivation stands in direct opposition to what our Messiah taught. Let’s take a closer look at what the Word of God says about covetousness. It’s more than just lusting after the possessions of your neighbor, it can become an identity!
