Sweden moving towards Cashless Economy – CBS News

I thought it would be a good idea to “break” from the regular format and send this out to everyone. Everywhere we look, we can see signs of the End. Are you ready? Do you “love not your lives to the death”?  Come Lord Jesus!

(AP) STOCKHOLM – Sweden was the first European country to introduce bank notes in 1661. Now it’s come farther than most on the path toward getting rid of them.

“I can’t see why we should be printing bank notes at all anymore,” says Bjoern Ulvaeus, former member of 1970′s pop group ABBA, and a vocal proponent for a world without cash.

The contours of such a society are starting to take shape in this high-tech nation, frustrating those who prefer coins and bills over digital money.

In most Swedish cities, public buses don’t accept cash; tickets are prepaid or purchased with a cell phone text message. A small but growing number of businesses only take cards, and some bank offices — which make money on electronic transactions — have stopped handling cash altogether.

  1. lighthouseprayer says:

If we go cashless as they have told us for years would happen to control our finances..will gold or silver be of any value..many people and the Arabs are stocking on the gold.. thanks

    • I’ve totally thought about this!! We’ve been told to invest in gold and silver …. but if it all comes crashing down … who is going to want that? They’ll be desperate for a meal … or medicine.

      • Hi Kevin

Actually, gold and silver are the two commodities that have some real value. Always have and always will because of their relative scarcity. The big trick is that we’re led to believe that paper money, or worse still electronic bank balances, have any intrinsic value, they dont, since there is no tangible wealth to back it.
I absolutely agree that a cashless society bodes ill for those who wish to remain free in Christ.

        Love your site Bro

        God bless
