ProphecyWatch: Bob Jones: The Glory of God Will Fall On the Church in 2012

With the start of the new year comes a fresh round of familiar sounding prophecies. This time Kari Browning, through an interview with Bob Jones, learns that 2012 is when the Glory of God is going to fall upon the church!

Recently, I interviewed Bob Jones at his home in North Carolina. Bob is a seasoned prophet, whose prophecies have spanned four decades. Like Daniel in the Bible, he has not only interpreted dreams but has on numerous occasions told people the dreams they dreamed. He has an amazing track record, even predicting a comet that that would come on May 7, 1983, unpredicted by scientists, on the day a 21-day fast and city prayer meeting began in Kansas City to pray for revival. The sign was given to encourage the intercessors and to confirm the prophetic promise that revival would surely come to America. After the 21-day fast in 1983, Bob Jones had a dream and told Mike Bickle that revival was not going to break out immediately as they thought but there was an “appointed time” for America, and when God said, “It’s time,” it would not be one day late.

Many prophetic voices, including Bob Jones, are proclaiming “The appointed time has come.” - Kari Browning

To further narrow down the timeframe, Kari Browning continues:

Bob said that we’ve come to the end of the old and the birthing of the new in 2012, and the glory of God will fall upon the churches.

Fool Me Once, Shame on You … Fool Me Twice?

Does this sound familiar? It should … it’s been repeated year after year. When are we going to wise up?

Contrary to what some may think, I’m not being pessimistic or critical. I really want the Glory of God to fall upon the church! We are in dire need of a True Repentance and Revival in our churches! You need it! I need it! We all need it! But the Glory of God will not appear in our midst until true repentance is present.

I’m not being negative …. but I AM refusing to be gullible. We are instructed to test all things in the scripture.

1Thess 5:21 “Test all things; hold fast what is good.”

1John 4:1 “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”

Revelation 2:2 “I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars;”

So Let’s Test Bob Jones … It’s Scriptural!

Despite his deplorable track record (I don’t care what Browning says), in the spirit of goodwill, I would even be willing to give him a “fresh start”! Be watchful throughout the whole year of 2012, then on December 31, test to see whether the Glory of God truly fell on His Church. Test to see whether “something new” was birthed.

If we can truly see God’s Glory on His Church, I WILL REJOICE WITH YOU! But if it’s the same story, don’t sweep it under the rug, and don’t forget about it. Bob Jones will have proven (once again) that he’s a false prophet, and we don’t have to be afraid to say so.

Deu 18:21-22 “And if you say in your heart, ‘How shall we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?’– when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that [is] the thing which the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.”

Blessings & Peace,

My heart grieves for the congregation of Jesus Christ. I was involved in getting caught up in this great apostasy because I longed to be closer to our LORD Jesus Christ and was looking for Him in all of the wrong places….in other people’s books, in Christians following their theology of experience over sound doctrine at taught by Christ, in doing “thing” for the Lord so I could sit with the other women and boast about my good works as we compared each other’s works, in going to “Bible” studies and gossipping about everyone in the community as if we were on some higher spiritual plain, but never opening our Bibles to allow God to actually teach us how to live our lives for Him (He does tell us how to live our lives here on this earth in His Word if we are open to His Holy Spirit leading us), we were seeking after “signs and wonders” continuously being taught that we could raise the dead and do “greater works than Jesus Christ” as they put it, etc. I attended a religious church that believed extra biblical revelation as truth without testing the spirits to see if they were found in our Holy Scriptures……the preacher gave one of his last sermons on the “Jezebel spirit” for those of us who did not believe in his “Toronto blessings experience theology….slain in the spirit, birthing, shaking and having convulsions, extra biblical personal prophecies over people, hearing the literal voice of God in your life, etc.; the delievery was angry and acuusatory to those of us who do not ascribe to these false teachings. It was discoverd that he was having an emotional love affair with a married woman, lusting after her and pursuing a relationship with her before he was forced to resign……sexually infidelity is ofter associated with these “lying signs and wonders” preachers as I call them as their minds seem to be given over to some strong delusion. I want to warn all of you that these “wolves in sheep’s clothing” will use their pride of spirituality to manipulate you and lead you away from the Jesus of the Bible and everything that He taught us to do and how to live. They will cast you under their spirit of religion as they follow this man’s teachings or that woman’s teachings and if you question their authors and books in love, you are immediately shut up and cast aside for even daring to question their idols and their teachings; their Todd Bentley’s, Mike Bickle’s, Beth Moore’s, Eugene Peterson’s, Randy Alcorn’s, Yongi Cho’s, Joyce Meyer’s, Joel Osteen’s, Rob Bells’s, Kenneth Copeland’s, John Hagee’s, etc., etc., etc., etc., could never be questioned in their theologies as the few of us didn’t “know” anything….I was told harshly by a woman in that church that she was a Christian longer than me so she knew more about the Bible than I did, when I questioned the “drunk in the spirit” practices being promoted by the elite in our church….her point of reference was Acts 2, where the believers were drunk in the Holy Spirit at Pentecost…..another false teaching. It seems as if some kind of party spirit has taken over my former church and it looks and acts more like the world than most unbelievers I know…..what has happened to taking our LORD seriously and regarding His teachings as truth? Has God really turned our miinds over to strong delusion and giving us exactly was we are seeking for; another god? Or perhaps allowing us in our puffed up pride to believe that we are gods, like so many of these preachers teach now days? Charisma magazine and the Message Bible have more power in that church than the actual Bible does…..and do unbelievers really “want” what these hyper spiritual people have when their homes are more in order that so called born again Christians” What kind of witnesses are we for Christ? Really. The church really looks like the rest of the world and no one is persecuting it because it IS the world….but there are a few ecclesia, or called out ones, that believe the Word of God is truth and are living lives that Jesus commanded us to live; they are rare, but then Jesus did say the way was narrow and few will find it.

      Hi Ann,

Welcome! It looks like you’ve been through a lot! After reading what you wrote, I want you to be encouraged … seek God through His Word, I know you’ll find Him! One thing, the Bible DOES teach that we can raise the dead and do greater works, so I definitely stand on that as being Truth. Now I realize that many preachers can preached a “hyped up” message on these topics, prepping the audience for a “give to my ministry” speech …. and they’ll receive their “reward”. Nonetheless, the Word is True, right? God bless, sis.

  2. Bob Mitchell says:

Let us look at what true revival is, when Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead (the wages of sin is death) Lazarus didn’t float out of the tomb but walked out he wasn’t aglow but was wearing his burial clothes. To revive is just that, the human body operates at 98.6 degrees and when we die our body goes to room temp. but to revive we go to 98.6 degrees. if our temp. rises above that temp. our body is fighting a virus (something from outside the body) not getting Super better (or super spiritual). the true understanding of revival is found in the hole book of Nehemiah, read it!

Wait a minute. I thought it fell in Kansas City. And Toronto. And Charlotte. And Lakeland. And a few other places. So was that not God?? Then who was it? And if it was, then why the big deal that His glory is going to fall in 2012? What does that mean anyway? We were always waiting on something. Something big. Something big was going to be birthed. We marched. We prayed. We were going to take cities. We laid on the carpet wailing. Always waiting for that big something. Oh, for the time back to really just serve others and do what the Messiah did. Really did. Oh, for the time back to really help my friend when I was too busy “praying to take that city”. Or to help that family move into their new home into their new town. Or to take supper to that young momma. But I was too busy in some prayer room tucked away in a warehouse in the inner-city banging on a drum. That was so much more important, ya know. And that friend that needed me? She is now divorced and married to a licquor distributor. And that young couple? They moved on after seeing that it was all hype. That young momma? She no longer talks to me. And that warehouse? It no longer exists. I think it was sold brick by brick on e-bay or somewhere. And that city we were going to take? Still plenty of crime, plenty of homeless, and home to a huge gay pride celebration every year. Yeah. We took that city……

    • Well said. If those were real personal events I grieve with you…

      • Linda says:

Sadly every bit of it was true. And this is a woman raised in the word…..graduated with honors from college…..owned my own business before starting my family. If it can happen to me it can happen to anybody. The spirit of deception over this movement is huge. It plays on every carnal desire out there, but disguises itself as the holy spirit. Most of the people I know in it truly desired to know the Father better. When the word is thrown out for “grace” the enemy moves in with a vengeance…

  4. I agree…Repentance and revival must come…But in that order… repentance first. As long as the majority continues to be deceived by false prophecies and false prophets such as Bob Jones repentance will simply not happen. ‘Kingdom Now’ theology will keep the ‘body of Christ’ bound while promising power and freedom and an easy ride through this fallen world. Then again, maybe it is the true body of Christ that does not fall for the strong delusion circulating within ( I hesitate to use the term) ‘Christiandom’.
